I got FFTA when it first came out and I could not put the game down. I was so engrossed with it, playing it nonstop. The story is just really good. The class system rocks the house, although I kind of wish some races could've been certain classes, but I got over that. The race thing was kind of interesting, but I don't think they put enough effort into it. Beyond some races only able to be certain classes, they didn't really differentiate them any other way. The gameplay was great, the battles didn't get tedious hardly ever. Always some new skill or technique to use, or some new class to test out, new strategies to form. The card system was pretty cool, that was well done and thought out. The judge point system was cool but I didn't like how you would only get one Judge Point, even if you killed mulitple enemies. I thought you should get as many Judge Points for the number of enemies killed. Oh well, I got over that as well. The totemas were awesome, just plain awesome. The sound was fairly decent, but I tend to play with the sound off after awhile, especially late at night so as not to wake up anyone. It was decent for what I listened to. The graphics were on fairly on par with the original tactics and maybe better looking. I also really loved the fact that there weren't random battles in FFTA. I really hated that in the original tactics. Now you know when you're going into battle because you're running into the clan. I didn't complete all 300 mission, but I was in the early 200s, 211 I think I had. I poured in almost 76 hours of gameplay into tactics and I could've kept on going but I just decided to fight the final battle and end it. I think you would have to get a much faster head start on the missions instead of waiting. I think that may be part of why I couldn't get any more. All in all, it was a very enjoyable game, considering the length of time I spent on it. I think it does have some replay value as you can make a new game, new party, different classes, gaining some instead of others or using some instead of others. It's well worth the investment and you won't be disappointed one bit.
