An R.P.G. that's good for beginners just getting into the genre!

People may sell a lot of hype trying to tell me whether or not a game will be good for me to play. However, I usually don't believe any hype unless I have played it for myself. When I was growing up playing the Super NES, I had no idea that R.P.G. games existed, until I got this game for Christmas in 1992. This may sound corny coming from a guy who has played an estimated worth of 22 years of video games, but "Final Fantasy Mystic Quest" is THE game that got me interested and hooked onto the R.P.G. genre. The story may be a simple one by today's R.P.G. standards, but its just perfect for beginners who want to try their hands at mastering epic challenges. A young man named Benjamin is given the task of freeing the four elemental crystals of the world from evil forces, in order to bring balance back to the world. Fortunately, he won't have to do it alone. Along the way, four other skilled warriors will come and aid Benjamin during certain points of the game. Kaeli, a woman who understands the feelings of plants and who wields a sharp axe that can cut down small trees blocking her path; Tristam, a ninja warrior for hire, with his multiple throwing stars at his disposal, can make short work of many villains; Reuben, a fire-ready warrior who uses his mighty Morning Star to pound sense into villains, and Phoebe, the valuable amazon warrior who with her bow and arrows and powerful magic, can help Benjamin out of many tight spots. During the game, the Warriors will have to defeat a dinosaur who has a weakness to earthquakes, an ice giant who has a weakness to fire, a hydra dragon who has a weakness to blizzards, a giant eagle who has a weakness to wind, and the Dark King himself, who only has a weakness to the powerful spells of White and Flare. The sights, while somewhat numerous, never feels insurmountable to a player. With careful time and a need to hack down every enemy in their path (which is easy to do, since enemy fights aren't random like in other R.P.G. adventures) the game can be won and it is a really fun one to! I highly enjoyed playing this game again on the Wii, and whether a player is a beginner or an expert, this game will provide them countless hours of fun! Enough said, true believers! ;)
