Not very long or difficult, but warrants a play-through

Maybe it's just the nostalgia talking, or maybe it's really not that bad of a game.

People keep comparing it to the other Final Fantasy's and raving about how it's simply an awful title. But it really isn't. It's a simple, introductory RPG with an easy to follow story.

But therein lies the magic. It was not intended to be an epic adventure, it was made by Square of America to attempt to get people into the genre. And it does a wonderful job of that. It conveys the standard RPG conventions of a menu system, a world map, dungeon encounters, a party, and the like in an easy to understand manner. And though the game is simple it is still FUN to play. It does some unconventional things such as allowing your character to jump which plays a part in the navigation of some areas, and you can use weapons outside of battle, but these are all enjoyable experiences and may lead to the player wandering around aimlessly slashing at villagers and trees, and who doesn't love that?

If you're in the mood for a lighthearted RPG that doesn't take more than a day or two to complete, then pick this up.
