Not enough hours in the day to play!

User Rating: 9 | Final Fantasy IX PS
This ninth episode of final fantasy is no disappointment to the series and carries the pride very well. From start to end your always enthralled with storyline. the combat system is much like the others of the series and the ways of learning of magic is kinda stupid though. you learn magic by wearing certain clothes and that is probably the only thing in the game i can really come down on. The 'active time events' allow the player to see how other characters are managing on their own. sometimes what the say, see, or do can be useful. Each character has a realistic personality that someone can relate to. The graphics though cartoony are still very well done and I only only noticed half way through that they were 'different'. Boss battle difficulties depend on what level your character is but the difficulty is enough to challenge those who know what they're and easy enough for newbies to struggle through. When the party splits up, you are given oppurtunities to catch up to them and see what they're up to and gives you a deeper feel of the characters. It also allows you to see youself what happened to them instead of them joining up with later at a huge leap of levels. This technique of being given control of characters also allows for more plot to be given in a shorter time span without confusing the player. The story line stays strong throughout the entire game and never disappointing this reviewer.
