Square Enix did the right thing to put these two games together.

User Rating: 8.5 | Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls GBA
Both Final Fantasy I and II were extremely fun and addictive, but each were way too short. So in case you were wondering why there was two games were in one cause they were too short.
The good thing about Dawn of Souls is that you get two games for the price of one and both of them are fun as. The bad thing is that if you beat one the games, you don't get the music player until you beat the other uncompleted game. I don't completely mind playing the game without the ATB battles, you will get use to the game play.
Final Fantasy I really made me realize a lot of things. One is that for every Final Fantasy game I have played, I will at some point and stop playing for a while. The instant I played Final Fantasy I, I instantly stopped. Although I didn't like it at the start, I stilled played it and it didn't take me too long to immediately love it. One thing I really liked was that it was simple and not complicated, and the sense of adventure. What was bad about it was that once I bet the game and saved the file, the new file was literally a new. The only thing different is that it has the same bestiary. I also didn't like how the characters had no personality, which made the game feel kind of empty and stuff. And you already know, but the game was short. What I really hated was the magic system. You had to buy spells for EACH character and it wasn't possible to have all the spells, and the were also freaking expensive.
Final Fantasy II fixed the problem with the no personality. The characters this time were thankfully actual people, well like the other people in the game. I wasn't too fond of the new leveling system, that was what made the game not so fun for me. I liked how the game is really realistic but the leveling system was too much. Basically you can control your characters stats, so if one of your characters use a lot of spells, their magic will go up and their mp will too and one of your characters fight a lot, then their strength goes up. This time though when you beat the game, you can continue on, which is a good improvement. The magic system improved a little, one is that all playable characters could use any magic, there's just a limit. The spells aren't that expensive, you can get them from enemy drops and the more you use a spell, the more stronger it becomes.
Overall Final Fantasy Dawn of Souls is a fun, addictive game which everyone who loves the Final Fantasy series should absolutely play.
