Final Fantasy I & II are two wonderful great games. I got this game because it was a bargain and I thought it would be cool to play the games that started the beginning of a great franchise. Final Fantasy I was a good game but lacked that feeling of indulgence that you may have from the newer FF games. It is very repetitive and sometimes easy to get lost. Sort of like the Legend of Zelda for NES. However FF 2 was the game I liked the most. It was a challenging game that took me awhile to beat, but in the end I think it is one of my best gaming accomplishments. It took about 20 hours to play FF2, but it was worth it. The great part about FF2 is that after you beat the game you have a new version to play. The new version takes place in a new dungeon w/all new characters. Won't give away the spoiler here though.

Overall the games were pretty good, but it doesn't live up to the hype of the newer FF games. But then again you got to think, back then this was probably like crack to hobos. Great, satisfying and worth every minute of play.
