If you are looking for an epic storyline with stunning gameplay and graphics, look elsewhere. But if you are after a cute game that's fun and light-hearted to fill the hours, Chocobo Tales is a good pick. You play as a chocobo, fighting battles with cards and participating in mini-games to rescue your chocobo-buddies. The battle system is relatively simple and fun to use, and the mini-games (which are Final Fantasy versions of Fairy Tales) are varied and many. Even the credits can be played as a mini-game.
Some of the mini-games can be very difficult (there are still two I can't quite finish 100%), which is normally something I enjoy in games. However, as this game seems to be mostly directed at younger children, the difficulty can be a downside. Barring that though, the graphics are cute, and the game itself is enjoyable for Final Fantasy fans of all ages.
