Interesting Single Player, Amazing Multi. Other than the GBAs and GBA Link Cable requirement, this is sweet!

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is an excellent getaway game from the other Final Fantasy games. For once, no Turn-Based fighting.. I personally believe that it's an excellent setup for people who are tired of waiting for the Attack Turn Bar to fill up.

Graphics-Wise, this game is pretty up to date. No noticable flaws, good framerate, just like in most the Final Fantasies of today.

The sound on this game is pretty good, but after going through a level for a while it can tend to get boring and repetitive. That's after a LONG time though.

Boss fighting on this game requires thinking and strategy. No longer will running up and repetitively striking the enemy be the easiest way to kill it :)

I just have three things about this game that i believe would could have been fixed to make the game better. First of all, like i said in the review summary, the Gameboy Advance and Link Cable requirements for the game's multiplayer. Obviously this is a very big hassle to work for if you want to enjoy multiplayer. If you do have them on the other hand, I completely recommend the multi-player mode if you have friends who are interested. Second, the equipment earning method on this game. I'm not saying that it's bad or anything, because a lot of games have followed the same "earn materials, trade with money for equipment" style. To some people who really enjoy this style, I say go for it then. It's just a personal feeling I have that's against the style. It's not hard or anything to obtain the items, but it's a little more annoying than to just pay the merchant some money. Still nothing wrong with it though! Finally, I believe that the chalice of this game is the biggest flaw. I know it kinda takes away from the story if they were to remove it, but it takes away from the fun of the game when one person is carrying around the dumb thing all the time. Even the moogle in singleplayer who's supposed to carry it has the decency to get tired and make you carry it for a while :P

Yeah, so like I said, I believe that this game is definately worth renting and buying. Multiplayer gameplay is excellent, and will keep you on your toes whenever danger appears. If you're getting tired of the turn-based fighting of other FF Games, or if you're just looking for a new RPG to try, go ahead and be my guest. I recommend this game :P
