Fight Night 2 takes its predecessor and adds new features that will bring in new gamers and hardcore fans alike!

User Rating: 9.5 | Fight Night Round 2 (Greatest Hits) PS2
Fight Night 2 is the successor to EA Sport's immensely popular Fight Night 2004, which basically revamped boxing games, and the way they are played. This sequel just improves on the already clever formula of Fight Night 2004, and adds more features to make it an more enjoyable experience. Gameplay:

If you've played Fight Night 2004, you'll know what to expect from its gameplay. This game follows the same "Total Punch Control" system that the first Fight Night followed. But, EA adds another element as well: The EA SPORTS Haymaker. Basically, It is a more powerful version of a hook or an uppercut. All you have to do is crank back the analog stick before doing the specific movements for a hook/uppercut. If It connects, It can cause an instant knockdown in the right siutations. If your opponent parries it, you'll be left open for counter-punching. Another feature is the option of Amateur Boxing League, where the fighters wear head protection and fight for 4 rounds. Also, one of the main new features is the EA SPORTS Cutman. It is a mini-game that occurs between rounds. Basically, you use the analog stick to heal damage from your fighter's face. I think this is the best new feature added into the game. It gives the player more control over his fighter's health as the match progresses.

Graphics:

If you've played Fight Night 2004, The graphics have gotten more extraordinary than before. None of the character models have any flaws. They're equally as great as the Bernard Hopkin's character model, who is the fighter on the front cover. No boxing game has ever come close to these graphics. You will enjoy punching those faces into oblivion lol. Even the arenas are great in their own right.

Sound:

If you've played the previous game, you know that it was dominated by Rap/Hip-Hop music. Well, it is in this game too. Obviously, the songs have been changed. But, still from the same genre. The punches also make good popping noises when they land. The Haymaker almost sounds like an explosion when it lands lol.

All In All, If you've played the previous game, you definitely need to play this game. Even if you're remotely a fan of Boxing, you need to give this game a try.
