Its good but lacks depth

User Rating: 6.7 | FIFA Street PS2
fifa street for the ps2 has more style than substance and lacks real depth. Nonetheless, its still a fun game which is best in multiplayer.

Instead of being your ordinary football game fifa street requires you to do lots of skill and of course it takes place in lots of famous urban parts of the world. Fifa street is all about skill and style. In order to gain points you have to mess around with the right anologe stick or triangle. This will make you do loads of flash moves that humiliate your opponent. When you first begin the game you will have 3 places to play the footy in. Rio de janerio, marseille and new york. You will be able to unlock lots more as you progress through the main part of the game which is called Rule The Street. This is just like a carear mode. You will first have to create a player. Once that is done, you will have to play lots of kick abouts to get noticed on the scene and get better in general. You will be able to play teams with skilled players like Hernan Crespo, Ronaldinio etc. If you beat their team then you will get that certain player on your team. Rule The Street is quite long but there isnt many depth to it. All you will be doing is playing matches and entering competions which is basically just the same. The create a player mode is reasonbaly ok. As you progress through the carear mode you will unlock new accesories which you can put on your players. If you afre just looking to mess arounf on the game then you can just play friendlys. This allows you to get straight into a game with whatevers teams you desire. As you would expect, Brazil are the best with top players like ronaldinio, ronaldo, Adriano, Dida and more.

All the players look very realistic and how they do in real life. The environments also are very good. They are not the most detailed in the world but they work well.

During matches you will get a commentater who can get really annoying after a while but funny at the same time. There will also be a DJ who plays music which suits the street style of football very well.

If fifa street had more depth then it would have had much more value. Unfortunatley there isnt much to this game and that will make you get bored with the game quite fast. After some time on the carear mode I got bored with it and just stopped playing.

Overall this a good game which is funner with friends. There isnt really enough to make this a must have for a football fan but it is fun for a short period of time.
