This was my first try at this type of management game, I was skeptic at first being an EA game but it blew me away.

Not being the biggest soccer-statistic-facts guy myself, I found myself overwhelmed with all the informations available in the game itself. Mostly the fact that the game wraps up together thousands and thousands of players and in so many different leagues that it gets confusing but still nice to find the best of the best or the one with the most potential while the trade window is open.

After playing this game i tried some other Soccer Management games and they couldn't attract my attention as much as Fifa Manager 06 did. If you compare Football Manager and Fifa Manager, what I despite the most about Football Manager is the fact that the interface is so clumsy and ugly, Fifa Manager succeed to pull it off perfectly with style and with all the informations you need. You also get to be able to look at your players doing what they know best in 3D (thanks to the fifa06 engine) unlike the other management games. People might say it's not as realistic in 3D that it could be in let's say the 2D/text-driven Football Manager but if you dig deep enough there's a big Fifa Manager community which create mods for better gameplay in 3D matches.

As all of the management games you get to Manage a soccer team either your favorite club or national team from the get-go or you can either start a career and see who wants a new coach or start a whole new club itself. You get to decide if you want to be a one-man show or if you want to manage just specific parts of the team. You get to shape the perfect soccer team and take them to victory by doing the right choices, the right trades, the right training. Every part of the game is well seperated and you get to feel it's a different part and not just different text. The team and financial part of the game is mostly text though every player is accompanied with their own pictures and their own stats and history which really makes each of them unique in some way. There's a "building" alike part of the game where you get to build facilities that either helps your team or generate revenues, which you also get to see the whole grounds around your stadium with the buildings all in 3D. You can revamp your stadium by checking in the stadium expension options where you get to expend or rebuild your stadium in any way you want.

I recommend this game due to his highly addictiveness (you really want to watch the 3D matches and see your team score) and all of the package the game is wrap in. It's well done and I cannot wait to see what's in store with Fifa Manager 07.
