Nothing Special

User Rating: 7 | F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin PC
This ends up being a well made first person shooter, however the story was uninspired and not very engaging.

Maybe you need to play the first F.E.A.R. game to feel engaged, but there was just too much missing and the bits of information you do aquire do not pull you through the story.

Technically the game is well made with smooth action, following a style that allows for slow mo and several weapons. Nothing new, but the style is well refined in F.E.A.R. 2.

And while the graphics look good, there is a real lack of a natural environmental feel, giving the game a closed in and linear feel. And even on lower settings the load times get irritating.

I found myself wanting to finish the game simply because I paid, but in the end, the long load times and lack of an engaging story left this one collecting dust in the game library.
