I've never played the first Fate/Tiger game, so I have nothing to compare this with, but this game is not a bad one. Fate/Tiger is obviously meant mostly for the fans of the Fate series (plenty of them out there, me included) because of its over simplified battle system, but it's worth it to play it for the cuteness and the extras.

Battle involves hitting opponents with the square button, special attack that consumes mp with the triangle button, circle to jump, and x to dash. L is used to target and switch camera view, and R is for guarding. Sounds really simple, and it is. Things like jumping onto higher terrain, picking up a certain item to do super duper special attack, or dashing behind the enemy and then strike adds a little bit of strategy to the battles, but that's about it.

Now a little bit about the the unlockables in the game. There's a TON, including playable characters, pictures, characters voices, movies and background music just to name some. Everytime you complete a chapter in story mode, you earn something like currency, and then you can use them to "buy" stuff in the extras section, thus unlocking things.

Overall, I'm quite satisfied with this game, the stories are weird at times, but the chibis and extras at the end make it all worthwhile. And trust me, the characters are REALLY cute.
