Fatal Inertia is not the game for tuners that want pure realism in their racing games, but instead for old school gamers

User Rating: 8.5 | Fatal Inertia X360
Fatal Inertia is not an ordinary racing game. The stunning graphics combined with unique race courses makes this game stand apart from all the others. There are weapons and power ups similar to Diddy Kong Racing and Mario Kart, however these power-ups speed up the pace of the game instead of slowing it down. There is also customization with the ships. It may not be as in depth as Forza, however, it's enough to feel a genuine attachment to your ride. The part of this game that frustrates the majority of players is the pinpoint accuracy that is required. This has to be the hardest racing game that I have ever played. It's not that the rides are hard to control, because, they are impressively responsive and easier than most games. The difficulty is within the tracks. Every tracks has many places that can snag players and slow them down. You have to know the maps almost perfectly to finish in first. It reminds me of the old arcade games and it is obvious in even the hovercraft that it's true roots are in arcade racers. I recommend everyone to either buy it because it's relatively cheep or at least rent it because this is truly an over looked gem.
