One of the better Far Cry Installments - Outstanding!

User Rating: 9 | Far Cry 5 PC

Graphics: 9 - Superb; Far Cry 5 is a visually stunning game with beautiful graphics that transport you to the fictional Hope County, Montana, which is in the grip of a fanatical cult.

Story: 8 - The game has an interesting story, although it takes a while to become engrossing. The end of the game is particularly impressive, but it is disappointing that the story has a somewhat foolish base. The characters are well-developed, with the antagonist, John Seed, being one of the best in the Far Cry series. He may even be better than Vaas Montenegro, who was a fan favorite from one of the previous installments.

Sound : 9 - The sound in Far Cry 5 is also noteworthy, with good music and great sound effects. The main theme is memorable and will stay with you even after you have finished playing the game.

Gameplay: 8 - The gameplay is excellent, with numerous possibilities and ways to tackle fights and conquer outposts. It is an improvement over the previous game in the series, Far Cry 4, with a map that is neither too big nor too small, and with a vast amount of activities to do, like fishing and hunting. You can skip activities that you don't enjoy, making the game less repetitive. Bugs can be encountered quite often, but they are minor, not game-altering and also forgettable (I can't remember one right now to offer as example, for example).

Atmosphere: 8,5 - The atmosphere of Far Cry 5 is augmented by the music and the acting, which make it greater than it would have been otherwise. All in all, Far Cry 5 is an excellent addition to the series, with some minor flaws in the story and gameplay. However, the overall experience is a must-play for any fan of first-person shooter games.
