Far Cry 3 is the blissful perfection that resulted when Ubisoft corrected the issues that hampered the previous 2 games.

I'm going to keep this short. Just get this game. That's how good it is. I'd give it a 10/10 if didn't BSOD my PC. It did that several times but I've noticed reseating my RAM and graphics card solves the problem. Also, the Uplay interface is just shite. All in all, Ubisoft took all that was good about the previous Far Cry games and improved it. And it took all that was bad about those games, as well, and eliminated it. You play as Jason Brody, a spoilt, carefree, average Californian dude holidaying on Rook Island with your 2 brothers and buddies. Things don't go well. One brother is murdered and the other along with your girlfriend and buddies are captured. The game is about how you transform from helpless doofus into a baddass warrior as you go about rescuing them. With the help of the local Rakyaat people you learn how to use the island's plants to craft gun holsters for weapons, wallets for money etc and you acquire skills that increase your power-- when you accomplish missions. You get to choose how to kill your enemies. Should you go all out guns blazing? Sniper them with your stealthy suppressed sniper gun? Or take them all out with your trusty blade? It's all up to you. I'll say nothing beats the giddy pleasure of knife-ninjaring your way silently through an enemy outpost. I'll keep it at that. Just get the game. It's that good.
