The most realistic firefighter simulation available. A first-person, FMV-based adventure.

"Feel the heat, of the fire.."

The very 80s-like theme song to this game echoes in my head, as I picture the beginning intro depicting a fire engine returning to the Fire Dept.

The gameplay involves finding your way through various locations, hopefully avoiding the fire hazards, to complete your task.

Replay value comes from the differing paths that one can take to reach their destination, sometimes with items that you must choose whether or not to attempt to interact with.

You are guided throughout the mission by your fellow firefighter(s), whose opinion on the necessity of investigating risky areas can be valuable.

This is an FMV (Full Motion Video) game, therefore the value of the "Graphics" rely solely on how it is filmed- and it is indeed filmed well; through a first-person perspective, with all the necessary camera jogs to simulate walking and looking around.

The gameplay can be frustrating on some of the later levels, with the environments creating a burning maze of sorts.
Those with a good sense of first-person geography will have an easier time here than others.

if you can find a copy, be sure to pick it up. I purchased the Sega CD/32X release, which featured both versions of the game, Sega CD solo and Sega CD/32X (whereas the FMV and sound are a lot smoother; for those with DVD Recorders, about the difference between EP and LP)
