Facade isn't really a game, and it isn't really like anything you have ever seen before, but the real question is, is it fun? This is more of a conversation bot, then a game but its unique because instead of talking to a machine about whatever you want there is a plotting progressing and you have to deal with to characters with a memory of what you have done. Sometimes its a truely interesting and impresive experince but a lot of the time its just proof that computers can't understand you very well. The plot behind this game is that there is a married couple who are on the verge of splitting up and its up to you to either talk them into staying together and working it out, or just insult them and make their lives worse. Gameplay The game is fully 3D and like most 3D games you walk around by pressing the arrow keys, and look by moving the mouse around. What makes the this unique is that buy pressing the letter keys you can type in what you want to say so that you can interact with the two other characters in this game. This is an interesting concept and sometimes they understand very well what you are talking about and respond in a realistic way, whats especially neat is that they remember what you said in the past and if you contradict yourself they will notice. So whats not good about the gameplay? Simple, like any AI bot they simply can't understand complex sentences and will sometimes give you stupid answers to simple questions, making the game feel downright useless. Graphics For a game made by two people the graphics in the game a nice, but they simply don't compare to big budget games released today like half life 2 or doom 3. While the expressions on characters faces are well done and the apartment generally looks nice, there are clipping errors and the graphics are plain old simple, and lacking detail. Your character doesn't even bob when you walk, and a "beautiful painting" is just a few lines on the wall. Sound The music in this game is pretty much non-existent, but the sound is still very much impressive, simply because of the vast amounts of voice acting. You can pick your name from a large list of common names, and they say it and it mostly doesn't sound out of place in the sentence, but sometimes they are speaking in a angry tone and then your name sounds sweet and out of place. Value You will want to play this game many times to see all the diffrent reactions that the people will have to you. You will probably want to play at least half a dozen times, but the game only takes somewhere from 5 seconds to 15 minutes to play through. Sure you can just turn around and leave before they even see that you have arrived, or get kicked out for being a jerk in just a few minutes, but if you want to stay and help them it will take more like 10 to 15 minutes. In the end the replay value is high but the game can only be so fun when its so short. Tilt There is NO REASON why you shouldn't play this game, its diffrent from anything youve ever tried before and its free. You owe it to yourself to see what this game can do, and you will probably be impressed, but after playing it a few times you will be cursing it out for simply disregarding your vital information. I could save these peoples marriage in 5 seconds if they could just understand me, and there lack to do that makes the game just so pointless
