Fable II expands on the possibilities of its predecessor but relinquishes much of its choice and charm.
Best Bits:
----------------
* Beautiful world and slick animations thats brought to life by a slightly more explorable version of Albion compared to the previous game.
* Wonderful music, mixing celtic and classical styles.
* Some great social additions to the world of Albion, such as the property buying and developing, the clothes dying, and more expressions to use on NPCs.
* Fun combat, which, although simple, can look pretty good in slow motion, with plenty of situational moves such as kicking enemies off of cliffs and some
neat rag-doll physics.
* Lots of mini games and extras to do to entertain yourself between quests.
* Brilliant character customization options.
* Some hilarious achievements, such as one where you have to sleep with more than one person at the same time.
Worst Bits:
-----------------
* Limited range of voice actors and character faces, which eventually makes all of the villagers feel like clones, even the ones you're supposed to have an emotional attachment to.
* Boring story, and boring main characters, with very little imagination put into many of the quests.
* Loses the indefinable charm of the first game in certain ways.
* Shocking lack of choice for a game which promises good and evil decisions.
Get This If...
-----------------
* You enjoy mini games, character customization, decorating houses, and other such distractions.
* You like tormenting NPCs and being able to kill almost anyone you like.
* You have a sense of humour and an imagination.
* You've always wanted to have 10 wives and husbands all in different towns.
