Fable 2: The Making of a Couch Potato

User Rating: 8.5 | Fable II X360
Fable 2 is so addicting that it made me a couch potato the first time I played. It was so good that I played for around 7 hours the first time.

Some of the best graphics and attention to detail I have seen in a long time. Of course there are some problems, but nothing too bad.

The conversation, I will admit, gets a little repetitive. Most villagers say the same thing over and over, which, if you spend a lot of time in the towns, it will get annoying. But the fact that you can control how you interact with the people is great.

The controls are close to perfect, the fighting, shooting, running are great. A few things that do get annoying is the fact that you can't determine whether you can walk in certain places without actually walking over there and checking. Also, sometimes it is a pain to actually lock on to a person to talk or to read a building sign.

The game play is great, you choose how you want to treat the people and from that the game will steer in a good or bad direction. I like having that ability.

A few things I didn't really like: The character can't die, why? What is the point of fighting, when all you get is a scar if you get hurt. Also, the glowing line that shows the exact way to the next level. You can turn it off, but if you don't and just follow it through the game, it completely bypasses all the treasures and exploration in the game. So I suggest you turn it off until you really need it.

Bottom-line: I really like this game and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good action RPG.
