The Fable games never cease to amaze me. The mixture of medieval themes and social settings with modern-day elements is well-done, witty, and just plain weird.
Seriously, half of this game's wittiness and sarcasm can be completely missed if a player never reads the descriptions of the countless items throughout the game. An example: the description of a Java Dye reads, "No Java were harmed in the making of this dye. Made from crushed squirrels." The funny texts and witty remarks from characters make Fable II a real joy to play, not to mention a sweet story and awesome combat.
Also, you really can do almost anything you want. Want to save the world, get married, live in a nice cottage by the sea and have babies, babies, babies? Sure! Want to kill everything that breathes? Go ahead! Want to have a different wife in every town and be constantly paying blackmailers to keep them from spilling the beans? Don't mess up the names! You can work as a blacksmith, a bartender, a woodchopper, or be a landlord! It's really a great game and is sure to make you laugh.
