Building on the successes of F1 2010, Codemasters is back for another round in F1 2011.
For anyone who isn't sure if they're in that category then please know that you should be. But please feel free to read on.
F1 2011 is the second game in Codemaster's F1 racing franchise. The game builds on the highs of F1 2010. Everything that was good about that game has been made great, and everything that wasn't has been fixed or removed, and the developers have managed to immerse the gamer even deeper into the world of Formula One.
Your goal is the same. Become the World Driver's Champion. You now have a set career length of five years. You have the option to race for Force India, Sauber, Toro Rosso, Lotus, HRT, and Virgin in the beginning. You will find that on track the game is head over heels improved from last year's outing. The tracks look truly lifelike. Cars truly feel like a part of the racing surface in this years game. And the game excellently implements the DRS and KERS systems into the game, adding to your arsenal of overtaking tools.
There are loads of other ways to occupy your time in F1 2011. The most popular of which is online multiplayer with up to 16 human players. The multiplayer is chaotic fun but I would recommend finding some friends to play with if you're serious about your gaming however. You can also now grab a friend and play Co-op championship where you gun for the F1 World Constructors Championship. It's a neat twist on the game and makes you feel more like a member of a team operation then just a lone wolf out to stand atop the podium.
The safety car has been introduced, however after dozens of hours, I can count on one hand how many times I've seen one. Even in multiplayer games.
Like last year. I would recommend pro gamers to the PC version and take advantage of the mods that are released to improve your gameplay experience. For everyone else that's a racing game fan or F1 fan, make sure you pick this one up.
