Hi-tech racing, only better...

User Rating: 9.1 | F-Zero GX GC
F-zero GX is a racing genre game for the Nintendo Gamecube, and it's probably the best ever created. F-zero GX will make your ears feel like they're in heaven, will make you stop blinking with your eyes, and will eventually make you cry because of it's difficulty. That's right, even though F-Zero gx is a modern game, it's about as hard as old school racers. F-zero GX has multiple modes. The main one is Grand Prix, where you'll race against 29 other racers. You have 3 cups to choose from: ruby, sapphire and emerald, each one tougher then the one before it. Eventually you'll unlock a diamond cup, which will provide a fair challenge. If you have an Arcade hall close to you, you can unlock the AX cup, which features the tracks from the arcade game F-zero AX. The tracks aren't the main challenge however, the AI racers are. The difficulty Novice can be beaten the first time, but expert will be near impossible. And finally when you've completed all the cups on all difficulty levels, you'll unlock a master difficulty, in which the smallest mistake means certain doom. Then there's also a story mode, with 9 chapters. The story mode's difficulty is about as hard as expert most of the time, but after you completed a chapter, a new difficulty will become available for it. Then there's also time attack mode, options, a garage (where you can make a custom car), and so on... Overall, F-zero GX is a must have for any racing fan out there. Just be warned that the difficulty might turn you off.
