A solid game that is just not what I would expect.

There are some comparisons between this game and Wipeout. They are both futuristic and fast-paced. They both include techno-like music which help to raise the tension level. The major difference is that Wipeout is more fun.

The problem that I have with XG is in the look. The game moves so fast that it is tough to keep track of the position of the car. You can tell where you are shooting and where you are in relation to the other cars on the track, but the pace is fast enough to blur a lot of the graphics.

The sound is very good, like I said. The music makes you feel like you are in the future setting and the sound gives you the feeling that things really blew up.

The game features a race mode which is tough to get through and a multiplayer mode. The multiplayer includes both a race and a battle mode. Both of these modes seem broken because of the limited number of other cars on the tracks. If they could add another human player into the regular races, it would have made more sense.

The game is solid, but not as exciting as the hype was.
