Better than some current-gen moto cross games!

User Rating: 9.2 | Excitebike 64 N64
Excitebike 64 is one of the best racing games for the N64. Its tracks are excellently designed, and offer a fun experience each lap. The graphics are just as nice, granted, you have the expansion pack for your system (there IS a noticeable difference). It controls like it should, and the turning is responsive. The difficulty stays on par with your skill, for the most part. On the hardest races, it may take a few tries until you memorize each turn. One regret of mine is that I don't recognize the racers, so I assume that they're made up. I wish that Nintendo had actual racers to give it some sense of realism, and while, yes the physics are all real and so are the tracks (for the most part), I still don't feel that this game takes place in any specific part of the world. I really can't explain why, but I like my sim-racers to involve something familiar in day-to-day life.
Aside from the above comment, everything else about this game is great and worth scrounging around a flea-market for.
