ah, the 3rd evil dead game..
Story - Ash, was sent to a mental institution of somesort after murdering several deadites in a cabin. Before the actuall story beings, you get to play that part in the cabin, when ash is convicted of murder. You then are determined to escape from the mental institution. Your main rival in the game is Reinhard. Reinhard, was the one who worked on Sam, the half deadite half human. After you escape from the mental institution you meet sam, and then you too are off to get at Reinhard. This girl sally, whom i believe knows Ash, is eventually taken hostage by Reinhard so once you find with out you have to save her, and the world since Reinhard is set to destory everything. After going through several stages like a swamp, some woods, a town that reminds me of silent hill with so much fog, sam messes up on taking out one of the portal's and your both sucked into it and end up at Reinhard's Temple. After making your way inside, you meet up with reinhard who is about to kill sally, but then you two fight. After you kill reinhard, you help out sally, only to findout that shes already been turned into a deadite! While Ash and Sally are talking, in the backround you can see Sam kicking at Reinhard's dead head, stomping on it, and even jumps off some table thats ontop of him and gives him an elbow drop.. while also screaming at his dead corpse. After all of that, Ash and Sam are sucked back into a portal, and the game ends.. sort of a crappy ending.. meh.
Graphics - are good, better than FFOB's graphics. The surroundings are pretty detailed, like the waterfall's of blood at the temple, looks awsome. and the gore when you bust out the combo's are great, all the blood all over the place.
Gameplay - is good for the most part, the controls are easy to understand, nothing too confusing about it. But at times, the camera angle just switches and its pretty annoying, even if deadites arent coming after you.
Overall - i really enjoyed this game. There wasnt really anything bad about it other than the camera angle. The sounds were much better in this game than FFOB. Hearing Sam and Ash fight is hilarious, they go at it all the time, and dont really repeat the same thing twice often, which is cool. The unlockables are cool too, Bruce answers the freddy vs jason vs ash rumors, and the evil dead 4 rumors.. Id like to see both of thos movies made! Anyway, if your looking for a decently fun, and pretty easy game, and are into the evil dead movies.. then check this game out, i thought it was pretty darn good.
