EQ 2 is not what it was in the beginning, and that is a good thing.

The Rise of Kunark, as well as the rest of EQ2, has a lot of new aspects. The graphics engine is pretty nice considering it is several years old. I ran it maxed out on my system and can say that it was very comparable to the most recently released MMOs.

You CAN solo now, no problem.

You can also group if that is your thing.

You've got a lot of options and EQ2 is much better than it was upon release.

As a hardcore gamer who has played almost every North American MMO in existence, I can tell you that this game is WELL WORTH a revisit.

It's better than Lord of the Rings, WOW, Guild Wars, Vanguard (blech), or any others.

Right now, in its current revamped state, Everquest 2 is the best fantasy MMO available.

As a consumer, it is also affordable. If you do a digital download you can get the entire game, plus all expansions, for 39 dollars. It includes a free 30 days. I thought this was well worth it.
