I felt compelled to write a review of this game after reading some of the negative reviews posted and reading negative comments about the best parts of this game.

1. This game is not for everyone. If you have played WoW and you are looking for an alternative coz you got fed up with the endless grind or you've already reached the peak. DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME. this game is not for you. WoW punishes players simply by respawning you farther away or some experience loss. that is by far nothing compared to eve. EVE is cruel as in real life it does not offer considerations to the new or old player. Which is the best part of the game in my opinion. Why? You grind for months and you managed to get the best gear for your WoW character. Then you look around seeing everyone else looks just like you. Everyone else can do the same thing as you. Lower geared/Lower level players are no match against you. You stop to think that i just did all that just so i can be like everyone else. That is WoW. Eve is different. You mined ore for 6 months waiting for that skill to go 5. You decide to do PVP. You managed to get in a hurricane with all t2 fittings and is about to start on your journey to be a pirate. Which mods should i fit my cane. How should i fly my cane with my fittings. Am I goin to hunt down helpless ships or am i goin to find some good fights. Am i goin to fly solo or with a group if in a group how big of a group. these are just sample questions you will ask yourself if you decide to do 'PVP' in eve. Take note thats just if you do PVP in lowsec as a pirate. other activities are an entire set of different questions. in 6 months you can be as good a hurricane pilot as a 5 year old player. that is if you played your cards right. which means you planned your skills EVE is complex, people who play this game quit because they have so much to do not because they lack things to do. also you have to enjoy learning when you play eve because that is what you get from this game right from the start you almost always learn something new.

2. Community is horrible. I have to disagree on this. Where else can you find a game where scammers are legit and stupidity/ignorance is punished. that is a true simulation of what real life is. Which is what it is. Its a simulation. if you didnt get that this game is not for you. this also means trusted people with honor is an asset. if you play an mmo game and expect to play solo where nobody will bother you, what does that tell you? go play skyrim instead. this game is player driven. Players socialize and create events on their own that affects the whole eve universe. Monopoly of tech moons and its price on the market is a perfect example of how players manage to affect the economy of the whole universe, Players organize mass suicide runs on miners to control mineral prices. IMO community is not horrible for the people who know how to play the game. if your expecting a utopian game world where everyone 'should' be nice and you dont want to make an effort to make it that way then this game is not for you. Because you as a player determine how the eve universe works if you lack the imagination or will to mold it to the way it should be in your terms then this is definitely not the game for you.

3. Its expensive to play for 6 months of doin nothing. True, that at the start of the game you have very limited activity. but if you manage to get through that. the game is technically free. I've played eve for almost 2 years now. and i only paid real money half of that time. as compared to when i played WoW. where no matter how much time i give or how much better i get i still pay the same amount. also 6 months of making friends who you can trust, learning how the game works and trying new things is not really a waste. because if you do it right that 6 months will determine the quality of experience you will have with eve for the rest of your days playing the game.

- this review will not be enough to cover eve. its just too huge and too complex. So to summarize. Eve is not for everyone. It does not try to be. Or will it ever be ( accdg. to the developers ) . It is for people who enjoy learning. It is for people with imagination. It is for people who knows how to read and understand mechanics. It is hard. It is not WoW ( I only use that as a point of reference coz people tend to compare the two often ) . It is not wing commander. It has a very steep learning curve, so far the steepest i've seen in a game.
