Typical run of the mill JRPG.

I would have given this game a 5.5, but 1 whole extra point for music by Chopin. For the most part, it's a seen one, seen em all JRPG -- This is who we are, and this is what we do, this is where we're going, this is the path we have to take, and this is what to do once we arrive.....and the game will not progress until we do.

So basically the premise is "There's something wrong with the world today, must be taxes, let's go confront the king about this, and meet a few friends along the way, yay!" Elements of conspiracy theory, certain elements just don't add up, things that make you go hmmmm. And we get a nice history lesson of the actual Chopin and get to enjoy his music. The music must get a huge emphasis, there were several points I had to stop playing just to enjoy the soundtrack.

However, the battle system is my primary complaint. It reminds of me of the old saying "Million dollar body, and a face to protect it." You have a special attack, which can be change by pressing L2....or sometimes the computer just randomly changes it as you're running around, then if you're not paying attention you may accidentally attack when you wanted to heal, and vice versa.

Also, whose bright idea was it to assign L3 to Change party member/Loose your turn?!?!?!? I about put my fist through the screen multiple times over this. This must be to teach us valuable lesson -- just because a huge gelatinous abomination is attacking us, no need to get over excited. UGH.

I'd recommend this to anyone who enjoys the interactive story book style of your typical JRPG that doesn't require too much thought or adventuring, just a nice way to burn up a day and a night. And also if you enjoy classical music. If you're the adventuring type, stay away.
