Sick fatalities!!!

User Rating: 7.5 | Eternal Champions GEN
Well, when this game came out, I was excited as hell!!! I was heavy into the fighting genre, especially those that had fatalities. An increasingly large amount of games were including finish moves into their game dynamic. I liked to see if I could figure out how to perform these moves so I could watch the other character get f**ked up and writhe in pain. I enjoyed Eternal Champions because of the fantastic ways that the characters would meet their demise. I enjoyed it so thoroughly that I destroyed numerous Sega 6-button Genesis controllers out of frustration as I attempted to find all of them. When I did, I made a rudimentary VHS of all the death moves spliced together. Because I was somewhat inquisitive (and destructive), I took apart my stereo and VCR and spliced a completely unsound patch between my stereo and VCR. By doing so, I could overwrite the audio on the VCR with what I was playing on my stereo. My finished product was the 7 and a half minute video of Eternal Champions death sequences being performed to a soundtrack of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony's "E 1999 Eternal".
