Just read it, and know why it's 3/10 instead of 1/10.

User Rating: 3 | E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial 2600

Let's start with a positive, E.T. is considered to be so poor that the title screen has been described as being the "best part of the game" and we all know its one of the biggest commercial failures in video gaming history, as well as the worst video game ever made.

We all know about it's reception, it's controls, we all know about it's mixed reactions, and controls, and that glitch when you get out of a whole and the controls, and the controls, and the music, and the, the, the...:

E.T is Terrible, but thats why it's so good, it's just hilarious to see a game nearly 30 years to still to be known as a piece of crap, E.T. can make you press the power button on this game, put the power button to the game's heart... that was inside anybody the whole time.

E.T is a cult classic for the Atari 2600, and should be purchased just because its the worst game of time for some people. Me personally, i actually really like E.T, and not because its a good game, actually, i think its a horrible game, but, thats the main reason i like it E.T. Its so bad its good, and people who grew up in..1982..which i wasn't even aroung then, but you try to play it, and just see and laugh how bad the game was rushed in 6 weeks. Yeah 6 Weeks, of programming, publishing, and releasing the game. Well, with a 6 weeks of development time. Its isn't THAT bad.

Now, let me end this review with a quote from the creator of E.T, Howard Scott Warshaw...

"That said, I also realize that consumers don't (and shouldn't) care about development time. All they should care about is the playing experience. I feel E.T. is a complete and OK game. Some people like it. It certainly isn't the worst game or even the least polished, but I actually like having the distinction of it being the worst game. Between that and Yar's Revenge, I have the greatest range of anyone ever on the machine."

-Howard Scott Warshaw

What he said there meant a lot, don't you think?
