You play a combination thief - musician invited to play for a wedding on an island nation of Xelpheropolis.

you either select a name for your character or take the default name of "Mouse".

The best thing about this cliche filled game is the battle system which is a great deal of fun.

really good anime characters.

In 3D real time battles party members and enemies are randomly assigned positions that give you varying advantages depending on the relationships you build up over time.

there are good camera angles and the use of the dialogue with Pattimo your instrument are rather amusing.

As is the cute female lead, although I wonder how they came up with her name of "Rummy"

there is an interesting guitar hero style side game of inventing a song for the upcoming ceremony.

Your lead character will then become stricken with the beauty of the Princess who is also the prospective bride.

Then you will spend less time obsessing over Rummy.

The biggest problem is the frequent loading - although you have free reign to wander and loot the town between visits to the Castle it soon becomse such a hassle due to reloading ever few steps it becomes easier to just wait for the next appointment.

When your presence is requrired you don't have to worry about where you are or what you are doing. Rummy will just appear and let you know you are needed.

all in all while the battles are fast moving and excellent the game play outside of the battles becomes confusing and moves distractingly slow.
