Endless Ocean: BW brings an authentic experience that takes a step beyond the first one, and succeeds in a good story to

The first installment of Endless Ocean was a jaw dropping experience, and to me the game pushed the Wii's visual capabilities with its great graphical direction in depicting this huge ocean. Not much has changed for Blue World, but the pacing feels a little better, and it's compelling story keeps you playing.

Some changes that were made for the second game, were some new gadgets such as the pulsar, which worked like a gun against more dangerous animals like sharks. The effects of a shark was also what made the experience from the first game. Unlike the first Endless Ocean where you were never in any danger from a shark, Blue World puts you in danger when near one of these, and if you are attacked, which normally results in a shark giving you a mighty tail whip, you lose air instead of any sort of health. The only way to make them go away is to use the pulsar on them. During key sequences, they'll swim away, but for the most part the pulsar is used to curing sick animals and of course, to calm the sharks down. Though this still makes the game a little too forgiving, it was still enough to give you a rushing heartbeat when confronting one of these beasts. Gameplay remains the same, and reacting with animals comes with a simple touch of pressing A on them instead of the awkward rubbing/petting you'd do to them in the first game. In the visual and graphical department, this game is top notch in deliverance of an underwater experience just like its predecessor.

Overall, this is a game not worth missing. To the hardcore gamer, its a little hard to jump into. For the players with expansive variety in games, this is a worthy edition to your wii collection, and this is no different to the first game. I give this a solid 9/10.
