A very fun game with a campaign that lasts for dozens of hours and is playable several times, despite a few bugs.
I have played the Grand Campaign five times, and each time the game play remained consistently engrossing. The period in which this game takes place is exciting, and the naval warfare is a thrill. The only real problem that I have with the game is A.I., specifically relating to diplomacy. Other factions periodically act irrationally and without warning, or refuse diplomatic offers that clearly benefit them. While this is frustrating, it is not enough to take away from the enjoyment of the game.
After playing subsequent Total War games, this remains my favorite. If you enjoy strategy games, you should definitely play this game.
