Empire Earth II is one of those games where it'll get better once you figure it out...

User Rating: 8.5 | Empire Earth II PC
I've had Empire Earth II since it came out in 05' (bought the one from Wal-Mart with the guy riding the horse on the cover) and well, I've enjoyed it very well to this date! Just now put it on my new Win7 PC so that's why I'm getting around to reviewing it.
Empire Earth II, just another game in a RTS series that strives to be like Age of Empires right? Well, kind of, but not really. They're both RTS games but, they are pretty different but they have some similarities and people familiar with AoE will easily pick EE2 and play it. It's recommended to do the Aztec Tutorials first to familiarize yourself with the game. So EE2 will start out boring for most unless you enjoy listening to a narrator talk about: "This is the mini-map.""This is the unit information panel." Blah, Blah, Blah. If you actually pay attention it's worth it, but if you just want to jump in, then skip it and learn how to play yourself.
EE2 has 5 different campaign groups: The Aztecs, the Koreans, the Americans, the Germans, and the Turning Point missions. All-in-all, i believe there are somewhere around 30 total missions (I've never actually bothered to count them). The missions are pretty boring on lower difficulties so play on Moderate and above if you want any sort of challenge. The missions are pretty good if you actually do them and if you're a history buff, this game is a win-win! You get a cool game, and a historically correct game!
Moving on to the other parts of the game, the Skirmish part allows you to pick a type of mode like Death match or King of the Hill and many more to play the computer to see who wins. These games can go on for hours or days, heck I've had one go on for a month! This can be fun after you do the campaign missions or don't feel like playing multiplayer.
I have never been able to successfully use the game's MP part so I'm not going to review it, but I've heard it's like any other RTS MP, so have fun and enjoy Empire Earth 2!
