RAD!
I'm only on stage 3 of this game as I write this .. but it's been such a visual stunner that I had to take a second to share my thoughts.
This is exactly the game I was hoping it would be. I have not played any of the Devil May Cry games and can't relate to the many reviews that compare them to this game - all I know is that it's different than all the games I own , fun to play and watch , and surprisingly engaging for how simple the controls are. I must admit that I was a little surprised at the quality of the graphics ... they do seem a tad sub-par for this generation of consoles .. but that said - the graphics are so awesome and so different that I could care less if they don't push the limits of detail.
Anyhow - this game is not hard to play , it's absolutely beautiful to behold , and already I know that I'll be going back to play it through again once I unlock the harder difficulty settings. I highly recommend it to all fans of video games. The visuals have been executed so well up to the point I have reached that I'm jealous .. jealous I didn't come up with such a brilliant way to present such a fantastic story ... steeped in ancient lore and modern graphic wizardry. I was a little worried that this was going to look good and be no fun to play - but it's great. The fact that they did combine stunning graphics with engaging gameplay makes this an instant classic as far as my collection goes. Games this different and this fun are a rare breed.
