The greatest simple RPG in the world.

Everyone knows Earthbound, and if they don't, they should. This game is simply amazing. You start off as Ness, a little boy in the town of Onett located in Eagleland in the year 199X. Ness is sleeping comfortably in his bed when all of a sudden, a loud BOOM! awakens him. Afterwards, he goes and tries to investigate what happens, however, his mom demands he changes from his pajamas before he can go and see, so he does and goes to see the police have already surrounded the area and have put up barricades to some extent. Once you arrive at the site, you see your neighbor Pokey who is known for being trouble, and the meteor that caused the disruption. Afterwards, Ness goes back to sleep, but then there's a loud knocking at the door that wakes him up again. He must be frustrated by now, and when he opens the door, guess who? Pokey.

The game just leaps after that. You learn of a prophecy, an alien that is bent on world destruction and has already taken over the world in the future, and now you have to stop him. The game is filled with simple graphics, some out of there humor (like someone who actually hungers for Trout Yogurt) and some bizzare sights (like a man who has turned himself into a giant dungeon!). Needless to say all this originality is sure enough to get you drawn into the game. This was my first RPG that I tackled and I never beat it until a year ago since I never had the game. I've beaten it four more times since then and I would gladly go back and start another game. The story doesn't get old, the enemies are different, and it's a really nice change from your ordinary RPG minus the whole you have to save the world thing.

There's nothing else I can say about it except that I could ramble for hours and hours giving you all the details of this game that I've picked up and tell you it in it's entirety from what I remember (which is still a lot). If you're thinking about just trying this game, go ahead, but I believe from the time you pick up the controller, you'll be hooked and once you put it down, you'll feel very satisified.
