I never owned any of the Dynasty Warrior games. I have played most of them, however. I didn't expect it to be out of this world, but it does the trick. I bought the game because I wanted something that I could pick up and quickly start brawling across China. I admit that the battles do get repetitive but I still enjoy it. I didn't buy it for the story. The graphics I think are great, and the gameplay can be very enjoyable at times. Its a fun way to kill time. The game isn't too difficult. I would have done away completely with some of the mini-touch-screen-games. One think I did like was the ability to use the touch-screen to enlarge the map and direct your officers to certain areas. The amount of characters is staggering and the ability to create your own heroes is awesome. Overall I give it a 6.5. If you want something story-driven and captivating I wouldn't recommend it. If you want something simple and fun, and need a great time waster, look no further.
