Graphics 9/10
Sound 7/10
Gameplay 10/10
Story 9/10

PROS: Lots of unique characters to play as and unlock* Upgraded and overhauled Graphics* Huge beautiful maps* Insanely more warriors on screen at one then the last generation counterparts* Individual Character stories are now really interesting!* Online Leaderboards*

CONS: No level editor* No online play* minor repetitive battle noises(see Sound)* Some of the new character versions aren't so great* If you are a hardcore bloodthirsty gamer like myself then sometimes you need a good Hack N' Slash game to cause some mayhem with. This is that game.

***The Review***

Intro:
This is the next generation port of one of my favorite games Dynasty Warriors. With more destruction, warriors on screen, Improved graphics, and overall chaos, Koei made me love they're addicting button mashing game even more!

Setting:
Ancient China, the end of the Han Dynasty.

Graphics:
New and improved character models, some environments are beautiful, and MORE interactive environments! Maybe some of the textures could be a little better. The only real issue with the Graphics is some aliasing issues with some of the grass or bushes. But if you ask me the game needs more then 19 maps! Gameplay:

This pretty next generation button mash now sends more ancient Chinese warriors at you on screen then ever before. This is the large scale Hack N' Slash action the fans have always dreamed of. The Renbu system works really well in the custimazation of your character and allows for even more integration in these huge battles! Some old character battle styles are thrown out, with a lot it works and with a few it fails.

All it needs is add-ons like customizable maps and online play to be perfect!

Story:

The Story or "History" hasn't changed but they really did manage to spice up with the cool Chinese music that plays in the background along with some great voice acting, I love it!

Sound:

You can't deny it when the action is getting intense battle noises that the officers can start making gets pretty repetitive, it doesn't bother me but I can see how it can annoy the hell out of other people. Something along the lines of: Hey, you beat me! Hey, you beat me! Hey, you beat me! Hey, you beat me! Hey, you beat me! Hey, you beat me! Hey, you beat me! Hey, you beat me! But besides that the noises of war are fine along with some great voice acting.

Summary:

Overall its that amped up Dynasty Warriors game you've been craving Hack N' Slash fans. Or even if your new to the series this will introduce you to the story fine and satisfy your bloodthirsty desires.
