You've seen it all before and done better in previous dynasty warriors games.

I owned dynasty warriors 5 before this and must admit I found it quite enjoyable, a guilty pleasure and a good laugh yes it was repetative but fun.

It gets to the point with dynasty warriors 6 after you've played your first story line that you realise nothing is new or exciting about this game. Obviously it looks a lot better than previous titles but thats about it. In fact theres a great deal missing, many of the battles for 5 are missing and plenty of the characters are missing.

And whats it all been replaced by a renbu system that makes the game stupidly easy and a special attack system that again makes the harder fights in this game simple.

To put it simply this is a glossy version of the previous titles yes it looks good but after you get over the good looks you realise that this game is essentially hollow. Only 17 characters get their story modes on this game while they all had them in 5, and some of the characters chosen to have stories are poor choices (for instance Dian Wei, a bodyguard who in history dies very early in the story is picked in prefence over somebody like Sun Quan the ruler of one of Wu on of the three kingdoms). But I can't say that this is a complete failure it does have good replay value and you feel like you have to finish all the story modes for instance I have a gamer score of 900 for this and I hardly even like it.
