The only letdowns of this game would be the constant repetitiveness of the player's actions and in-map events during gameplay, but aside from those two, the game is still addictive. The visuals have been bumped up to very desirable levels. Compared to Dynasty Warriors 3, this game will keep you hooked, if you've played its predecessor. Since DW3, the added Musou Rage Tokens, Tiger Collar, Elephant Harness, Evolution Attacks, Musou Bar efficiency, and stat-raising items from before and during gameplay come in very handy. They will keep you from wanting to go back, although, eventually you will grow the feeling of nostalgia. Graphics are almost near-realistic, but still impressing enough for the intended console. Improved player/enemy actions/reactions, improved map details, and of course, surprising events that bring the thought of the game's awesomeness back into mind. Koei's upgrades per game may not be sufficient enough for making sequels, but at least they put enough into their games to keep a player hooked.
