Game has some good playing time and good replay value with its 40 different charecters and a few different modes.

Dynasty warriors 3 is set in ancient china at the fall of the han empire. You play with only a handful of characters at first but soon unlock many more including items you can equip to your character. Some to help boost your health others to boost your attack or defense. Theres even mounted items you can equip to get you around faster in each level. Most of the levels are large scale and in a few you can defeat thousands of enemy troop. The story lines differ depending on who you choose and what kingom you side with. The kingdoms or sides are the wei, shu, wu, Dong Zhou, yellow turbans and Meng Huo. There are a few cutscences in this game during some battles where you'll see people fighting against eachother or maybe even just talking. In addition to the items each character also has four weapons unique to each of them. And as each weapon progresses it not only gets stronger it also adds another charge attack. The fighting is mostly button mashing you can hit square most of the time to kill enimies or press triangle in between the sqaure attacks to get some differences. Each character also has a special attack called musou. When you hit circle your characters does an attack where your enemies cant hit you and you can slice threw there ranks. The levels are all pretty different when you play them witch is good if you've played four it all seems the same. Most of the time in this game youll be slicing down enemies and picking up what they drop to get your charecter stronger. Otherwise its just items and storyline in musou mode. Theres also a free mode where you get to play any level you want with any charecter. A challange mode where you can take on things like smashing pots or archery or just killing troops. Theres also two other things in this game. A little history section where you can read about what happens to the characters and the kingdoms and the last mode is just all the movies you've seen while playing. To wrap it up its a fun game if you wanna spend a few minutes or a few hours button mashing and listening to some crazy guitar.
