Dynasty Warriors 2 provides a nice feeling of war in this strategy oriented beat-'em-up.

Dynasty Warriors 2 is nice game for Playstation 2. It takes place in ancient China, and puts you in the middle of large scale battles between armies of hundreds. There are nine playable characters, and three different campaigns. Each campaign consists of five battles, which more or less play out the same way. You make your way through the area, securing gates and defeating officers, until you reach the last officer, beat him and mission complete. It is repetitive, but entertaining. Each battle, you do beast out, with hundreds of kills. It can feel like a button masher many of times, but still is fun to play. Dynasty Warriors 2 is a great way of bringing ancient China warfare to the video game world, and is a entertaining way of playing out the battles. The feeling of clearing out an area of enemies is great, and by the time you beat the game, you are satisfied, but yet wanted more. With nine different characters, this game can last as long as you want it to, but the mission structure can't entertain for too long.
