You have to like tactics to like this game. The graphics are simple and there's really no story. But the turn based, tactical battle system is very good. It has a unique 'chain' system where you set up all your units in a specific arrangement around the enemy, and then when you attack all the units that were arranged properly will execute chain attacks. There isn't much that's more rewarding in a video game then watching a really long chain devastate your opponent. This is also a game that you can play for a few days and then put it down and come right back to it a month or two later. It's excellent for the casual gamer who wants quick action. There's absolutely nothing to the game except for the battles so don't expect any story here.
Overall I find this a really fun game. I'm only giving this an 8 though because there's no doubt that it could be improved with better graphics and a good story.
