A classic, fun game for the old school rpg gamer.

User Rating: 8.5 | Dungeon Hack PC
Dungeon Hack is similar to its predecessor Eye of The Beholder. Using 1st edition AD&D rules,it's a true classic. The learning curve is simple, about 10 minutes.

The story sets you off traveling down into a labyrinth trying to retrieve an item. There are many items, monsters, and levels to discover, just like most rpgs. However, what sets this game apart is its advanced interface for its time. Being released in 1993,we look back at it now as a primitive artifact. It possessed so many random encounters, puzzles, armor sets(just like Diablo 2) that there are endless combinations of replay experiences.

This game offered much adventure during my summer days I spent playing it. From the start menu you can select CUSTOM and change your settings for your next adventure. Including difficulty, how many level of the labyrinth, and what types of dungeons you'll come across. As you venture deeper,no level is the same as the last. The way it looks, monsters, and types of items you'll find. There are also water levels that are extremely challenging unless you are a Cleric and can cast "Water Breathing."

Overall, this was a legend of a game that had offered a lot of fun and adventure. There are still tons of items and monsters I have not encountered in my exploration.
