After finally playing this game, I'm sorry I didn't play it sooner

When I first saw the advertisement of this game on Facebook i thought it was just like any other generic MMO out on the net today. I guess its a good thing I got bored and decided to randomly try it out. Dungeon Fighter Online is a MMO from Nexon (Creators of Maple Story), it has the classic action arcade style gameplay with a massive explorable world. For any gamer out there who enjoys a good RPG and appreciates the classic arcade style graphics, I recommend playing this game, it free to download and play, hours of fun, and doesn't require too much CPU to play (I only have +400 RAM on this crappy laptop T_T,and it played beautifully :D ). Though the game is great, there are a few problems that can prove to be annoying.

The game's plot is like any normal MMORPG, there are separate stories for specific characters, but it's still connected to one big main story. Just like any MMO, the story progresses by completing quest and advancing to the next part or "Episode". There are five classes of characters to choose from, each with it's own style: Slayer, Fighter, Gunner, Mage, and Priest. Each class of character has it's own personal weapons, armor, special attacks, and four different sub-classes to advance to at a higher level. The gameplay is just like any other RPG: go through a dungeon fighting enemies, collect items along the way, defeat the boss and complete the quest given to you by any of the many NPCs in the game. You can buy weapons, armor an items for your character, and combine, forge, and disassemble items to make into others. You can do many different types of quest from general, to limited time and epic quests. Also, you can teach your characters skills to further customize them. And new to the game is the Item Shop, where you can buy items to customize the look of you character so they can stand out from the crowd of other players. You are also able to go into dungeons solo, or in parties with other gamers, and fight other gamers in PvP Arena matches. You are able to communicate with others through the chat system and in-game mail. And you are also able to create more than one character on one account. (there was alot of stuff to talk about...)

Now that explanations are over, lets get to the real critique. Gameplay is all around fun. It may seem simple, and some may say repetitive, but the different difficulties, changing dungeons and varieties of monsters will keep you entertained. The characters are well tuned and thanks to the new items shop, are now customizable. This now eliminates the old problem of the characters all looking the same as the next one and being lost in a sea of look alikes. The graphics are amazing to look at (considering its 2D arcade style graphics) and the audio is excellent. And with the massive world, all of the NPCs are unique with their own personalities. There are only a few drawbacks to this game, but they still can be annoying. One big problem was in between dungeons when you pick your treasures(When you complete a dungeon you are given cards to choose from with possible rewards). You only have three seconds to choose one of five cards on top of the screen (and one on the bottom which cost gold) or you don't get anything. Another problem is when you're in a night version of the dungeon with an NPC; you only have a few seconds to choose a option to either go to another dungeon or return to a town (same with the start). your pack will only carry as much items as it can as long as you stay under a certain weight (same with your box) and cost NX credit/prepaid to upgrade. And the Item shop only accepts special Avatar Coins which cost NX credit/prepaid.

This is all I can think of for the game; though these problems are irritating, don't let it throw you off of this game, it's still excellent to play and worth your time. It's completely action packed (with a little humor thrown in) and immersive. If you decide to play this game, I recommend trying to get an avatar item to customize your character, so you don't look like the same person as everyone else.
