A classic Apogee platformer!

User Rating: 8.7 | Duke Nukem II PC
Duke Nukem's graphics were a vast improvement over the original EGA / VGA graphics. Duke Nukem 2 had bigger sprites, less pixelled sprites and it had more colours.

The games Sound Blaster sound effects were quite impressive for the time. Lots of whizzing, crashing and banging. :) Unless of course you decided the use the PC speaker for the sound effects. ;)

Robert Prince did the games amazing ad lib music. I would have to say that it's some of the best early PC game music i've ever heard.

The game play was a lot like the original Duke Nukem. Shoot monsters, shoot boxes, jump, climb, collect bonuses and defeat the huge boss at the end of the level. Well if it works why break it!

The new graphics, music and other smaller changes helped the game to feel fresh but even with that the game play started to get repetitive.

Overall Duke Nukem 2 does get repetitive but if your looking for some classic platformer action then look no more!
