i was just a kid back then and playing a shooter on the PC was fun...never thought it would be this much fun...wow...a 3d FPS...
i loved it from the beginning till the end...
i mean...what more can you want from a FPS...you got guns...small ones and big ones...you got aliens taking over the earth and the only big muscle guy around fitted for the hero description...plus don't forget the babes...
3 episodes with lots of missions...
you start in L.A. Meltdown...survive the Lunar Apocalypse and end in Shrapnel City by scoring on a football stadium with a guys head a.k.a. "one eyed freak" after you sh*t down his brothers throat (a.k.a. overlord) while reading the news paper in the Lunar Apocalypse...
duke nukem 3d set a standard for FPS games...made history...everybody loved him back then (except the parents) and most of us still love him today...
i played it for a long time...even on the PC i have now using DosBox...but...recently i got myself the Duke Nukem 3d high resolution pack from filestube.com...it's a site where you can download most of the old games that you like...it has better graphics and i doesn't need DosBox plus it contains the Atomic episode The Birth and you can download it for free...
i don't play it as much as i did back in 1996 but every time i want to be a kid again and remember the good old days i start Duke Nukem...
it was the best...it's still the best and for the most of us it will remain the best...
