driveclub, not worth the long wait

I love racing games i love cars but Sad to say this game turned out disappointing. I waited so long for this game to be released. After playing the game for one night and half an afternoon, i quickly noticed that I don't like this game. I'm a proud owner of a PS4 but this game compared to forza or even gran turismo is horrible. The graphics of the courses are like ps3 graphics compared to the destiny game graphics for ps4. There are certain things about the game play that Is quite dumb. for instance, losing points when another car crashes into your rear end. I can understand that the player loses points if we crash into them but why do we lose points or get penalized when they crash Into the back of us? I've always liked using manual in racing games; it makes me feel like I'm more apart of the car and in the race. That being said the shifting response in this game is horrible! Really slow response when down shifting something it doesn't even down shift when I try to until I press the button a couple times. Overall I wish I could return this game. 10 months of waiting for this game and it turned out disappointing. If you really love competitive racing games like forza or gran turismo then this game is not for you!
