What is so different about this game than any other car game? Drift City delivers way better than any other I've seen.
You have to take into consideration that the graphics are not going to be Need for Speed. Need for Speed was designed to be flashy to take your money and make them rich. Drift City is a free game, it is designed by a smaller team, and it's not going to bypass the boundaries of Need for Speed. But, it can and does equal up to them.
THE GOOD
From the moment you grab your license and are venturing off into the giant abyss that is Drift City, you'll be packed with things to do. If you never stopped by the Battle Zone, never did the delivery missions, never did the patrolling, and just stuck to the main missions, you could level up to the highest level. This game has a wonderful leveling curve, if it were any harder, I probably wouldnt have played it. There is an abundant amount of things to do. The main missions do not follow a specific storyline from start to finish, but there are a bunch of short 2 or 3 mission storylines that are pretty fun. Deliveries are a good way to get a little extra cash to be able to afford new car parts. Patrolling missions are a good way to get XP if your just wanting to cruise around and have fun in your car. This game is going to be entertaining no matter what it is you are doing.
Alot of games, for me, leave me asking "Ok, I have worked hours and hours to get this gear, get to this level, and tweak my character, but...now what?". Thats what I love about this game. You can spend hours and hours getting better car parts, leveling up, and tweaking your car to the best of your ability. And the place to show all of this off is the Battle Zone. You can join or host a room and race other people that have been training with their cars. This is doable at any level, the higher level zones you unlock, the better XP/money percentages.
THE BAD
The only bad thing I can think of about this game is the graphics. This is not a significant bad thing, but some people are super stupid when it comes to graphics. Some people wont play games unless they look super realistic. But, for me, the cell-shaded style of this game is cool and unique. If you are one to freak out about games that arent top-of-the-line, you may want to stay away from this game. If not, you should try it.
